Transcendence

Let it change you

The Situation

We are spiritual beings having a human experience.

Our body is the vessel to our spirit, our life is the vessel to our participation in the creation, our life’s work is to make our material circumstances fertile ground for spiritual development.

Succeeding means having something to share, a gift to the world; a path we light up, love we distribute, moments that are remembered, constructions that stand the test of time, leadership that rallies.

Transcendence means being a guardian and gardener to our soul. From that which we are given at birth, we grow, enrich, enlarge, connect, teach and learn ceaselessly, until we return this soul to the Whole.

All the same, the tending doesn’t put us in control. We are only in service of the transformation.

Changing Lines

No Changing Line

Realising our potential demands of us to expose our self to a variety of experiences. Every lesson we learn, every strength we gain, opens for us a new realm of yet more mystery and mastery.

As we let go of our hindrances - the shackles, false beliefs, and ignorant habits - our options widen, making us eternal work in progress.

In committing to growth over identity, we free ourselves.

Line 1 - SEEK THE NECTAR

Transformation is a march towards a more concentrated and substantial version of our self, our purpose, our achievement, our mastery.

Whether we trudge, stroll or skip on the path, our mandate is to embrace what is valuable, precious, worthwhile, effective, or delightful, and to let go of what isn’t.

This focus is the fabric of our mettle. As we consistently choose the comparatively better option, we actualise, get closer to our full power.

Line 2 - CHANGE ONLY YOURSELF

People can’t ‘make’ each other feel, do, think, or change.

How we experience the world may be influenced, triggered, accompanied or deciphered by others, we are still the experiencer, the one with sensations and memories that are informed by our trajectory and definitely distinct from the experience of another.

What we need and what we have to offer is not contingent on what others need, feel and do. When we know and respect that, we stand a chance at actual connection, respect and personal growth.

Line 3 - COMPLACENCY BRINGS PAIN

Life from beginning to end is a transformation. We cannot stand still ripping rewards ‘once we have the recipe’.

Eventually the tools, circumstances, or supplies change or lack, and our recipe fails us.

Then we can cry and complain... or we can embrace the opportunity to learn something new. For example, that we’ll never be done growing.

Line 4 - NEW MEANS TO NEW ENDS

We can’t become someone else in the same set of habits, among the same people and using the same tricks.

Eventually we overextend our leeway and the mould expels us or brings us back to who we were... or we hang on to the toolset, and it is our own transformation that is spoiled.

Our old ways were the right way to take our old actions. With new purpose, we need a new playbook, a new arsenal, new guides and helpers.

Line 5 - FORM & FUNCTION

Quality is not measured in absolutes, it is measured in relevance - how well it enhances our experience and highlights the purity of a purpose.

Transcendence is also about reconciling our form and purpose, allowing our choices, thoughts, actions and projections to align.

Then, none of what we are is in the way of fulfilment.

Line 6 - THE MEANS TO SUCCEED

Any ambition, and above all our own transformation, are not ‘accidents’ just because we don’t quite know where we’re really headed.

It takes work, care, know-how and commitment to do all and any of it properly. If we tackle each component as the key to the overall quality of our craft, we end up with a masterpiece, which stands the test of time, criticism and overuse.
